About the Venue
SMC is more than an event space. Although its mid-20th century Brutalist style is an architectural marvel, the Centre guarantees a seamless experience, inclusivity and is committed to customer service, for all clients.
Its reputation is equally impressive. Since its inception in 1979, the SMC has stood at 66 Goulburn St as an important architectural landmark of modern Sydney.

SMC was originally built as the Grand Lodge of the NSW Freemasons, before it was open to the public for events. While the Freemasons own the building today, SMC events are not affiliated with the group and the venue welcomes and accommodates all guests and event types.
